  This place is all about the experience. Its remotely located out in the Texas countryside.
  
  Whats interesting is that Sat Lick BBQ in Driftwood is BYOB. People show up and unload the ice chests. The waiting are is a huge outdoor area with tables under oak trees. There was live music while we were there.
  
  Be prepared for crazy long wait times if you visit on a holiday. I waited over 2 hours to be seated on one visit.
  
  Salt Lick is known as for offering up authentic Texas style BBQ. Prices are a bit on the upper end price wise with the average meal in the $20-$30 range.
  
  While I don't feel this is absolutely the best BBQ in Texas, I do feel its one of those places you have to visit and experience at least once.

  Brought my family here for the first time and drove 30 minutes here. I really wanted to like this place. It was very expensive and very small portions, don't even think of trying to share a plate. I tried to share a platter with my little brother and there was barely enough for one of us. Beans and meat were ice cold. Barely 4 bites of pulled pork, 2 nearly cold cut style slices of cold ass turkey. Cool atmosphere though. If you want this for 15 dollars then go here. This might have just been a bad Saturday night but I will never return here or recommend to anyone.
