  Just ate there tonight (3-22-17). Been curious since I pass by quite often on my hill country motorcycle rides. Had the "Truck-stop Enchiladas", and realized too late just why they're called "truck-stop" enchiladas. For two lame enchiladas, rice and beans and an ice tea, my total was $15.37. I gave the waiter a twenty and 37 cents. He asked if i wanted change (did he really think his service was worth five dollars?) I said yes, I would like a five dollar bill back. I had tucked three ones (a 20% tip) by my plate, but I guess he didn't see that. So instead of bringing me my five dollar bill, he brought me ones (4), keeping one for himself. (Don't tell me he can't count to five.) Rather than have a scene, I took a one from the tip I had left, to replace the one he short-changed me, and left. In retrospect, I should have asked for the manager and had him address the problem while I was there; he did come by my booth once to ask how it was going. So here it is. The food was over-priced and under-quality. The waiter is either very bad at counting to five, or he felt morally okay with short-changing me to make up for his mistaken assumption that I was going to stiff him on his tip. Sorry, Hays City, I give you a one out of five.
